The Emote VR Voicer project is developing a new emotion‑based audio dataset to support research into vocal emotional expression. We are recruiting a student to assist with running audio‑recording sessions, managing participants, and preparing the collected audio for use in the project. The role involves working within the School of Digital Arts (SODA) and supporting the project team in meeting the dataset‑creation timeline.
Key Tasks- Run audio‑recording sessions following the protocol provided by the project team
- Guide participants through vocalising four emotions: happy, sad, calm, angry
- Ensure accurate and consistent file naming and organisation immediately after each session
- Maintain a clear log of participants and completed recordings
- Communicate with the project lead regarding progress and any issues
- Assist in preparing and structuring the final dataset for research use
- Attend a short induction session before starting
Interviews for this role will be held on Friday 5 June between 1pm and 3pm.
