We are seeking an Education Services Officer to join our Curriculum Approval Team on a six-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the development, approval and enhancement of the University's academic portfolio.
Working closely with colleagues across faculties and professional services, you will help ensure that our curriculum approval processes are effective, efficient and focused on delivering an outstanding educational experience for our students.
About the Team
Curriculum Services supports the design, development and quality assurance of the University's academic provision. The department comprises three specialist teams:
- Curriculum Approval
- Curriculum Review and Enhancement
- Curriculum Data
This role sits within the Curriculum Approval Team, which is at the heart of academic development and assurance activities across the University.
About the Role
As an Education Services Officer, you will work closely with academic colleagues and stakeholders across the University to support curriculum development and approval processes.
Key responsibilities will include
- Supporting academic colleagues through programme approval, amendment and discontinuation processes.
- Coordinating and servicing Faculty Approval Panels, ensuring the chair and panel members are provided with the information they need to make informed decisions.
- Working closely with key stakeholders to facilitate Programme Enhancement, Approval and Review events.
- Providing advice and guidance on curriculum approval processes and associated regulations.
- Maintaining and updating curriculum information within the curriculum management system and developing expertise in its functionality.
- Acting as a key point of contact for complex curriculum queries, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and professionally.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes, systems and ways of working within Curriculum Services.
As part of Curriculum Services, you will also have opportunities to contribute to wider directorate activities and key institutional events.
