We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed, and highly motivated teacher with the ability to deliver high-quality education that inspires a love of learning and a determination among students to achieve their highest potential, as well as running sports enrichment activities.
Manchester Islamic Grammar School for Girls is an independent all-girls secondary school for students aged 11–16, located on the Fielden Campus, West Didsbury, Manchester, M20 2PQ. We are a relatively small school of approximately 290 students. Alongside our partner schools, we form part of the highly successful Manchester Islamic Educational Trust, founded in 1991. We have been rated Outstanding in our last three Ofsted inspections.
Our mission is to prepare, engage, and enthuse our students by helping them identify their talents and build on their strengths. We offer a fully enriched SMSC programme, enabling students to demonstrate their skills beyond the classroom and develop into responsible adults who contribute positively to both their communities and the wider society. As a Muslim school, faith is at the heart of everything we do and is central to the school’s ethos. We follow the National Curriculum in all subjects including PE but we don't deliver a GCSE in PE.
You will have:
- A degree-level qualification in PE or a related field
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE with QTS), preferably with experience teaching in UK schools
- The right to work in the UK
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to supporting the ethos of the school in all respects
