Engagement Producer – Manchester Evening News
We are looking for an Engagement Producer to join us at the Manchester Evening News. The role owns day‑to‑day distribution across social, newsletters and apps, translating strategy into slick execution that grows audience, subscriptions and registrations.
Location: Greater Manchester hub. Must be located in or around Greater Manchester.
What will the role involve?
- Own day‑to‑day distribution across social channels including Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Instagram, WhatsApp and other relevant platforms.
- Curate, optimise and launch newsletters that convert casual readers into loyal subscribers.
- Design and deliver engagement initiatives such as polls, Q&As, live threads and other interactive formats to grow registered users and deepen community loyalty.
- Find inventive, data‑led ways to promote content post‑publication, recirculate evergreen pieces and surface stories to new readers across off‑platform channels and apps.
- Analyse engagement metrics from every platform to refine headlines, thumbnails, formats and posting schedules for maximum impact.
- Collaborate with Audience Editors and other teams; provide cover when needed and stay ahead of digital trends.
- Responsible use of AI tools in line with company policies to improve accuracy, efficiency and engagement.
- Play a role in building a diverse and inclusive organisation that reflects the communities we serve.
