We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Design Technology and Food to join our team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA). This is a permanent, full‑time position on teaching terms MPS–UPS starting 1st September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour of all students
- Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons across Design Technology and Food
- Contribute to the development of an ambitious Design Technology and Food curriculum
- Assess, monitor and report on progress, implementing timely interventions
- Work collaboratively within the team to support the school’s vision
- Reflect on and improve practice through professional development and shared expertise
- Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement priorities
- Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required
- Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external partners
Qualifications & Experience
- QTS and a relevant degree
- Successful teaching experience in the relevant phase
- Thorough subject knowledge and awareness of current curriculum developments
- Strong communication skills and ability to plan and develop appropriate learning activities
