The Integrated Corporate Services (ICS) is a new shared corporate service, launched in July 2023. It provides corporate services (HR, Finance, Digital, Commercial, Security and Estates) across the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) and the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT). Our team of just over 300 professionals will be leading the way in how these functions will be delivered in the future. As a Product Manager in Integrated Corporate Services (ICS), you will product manage services and programmes. You’ll collaborate with established or newly formed multi-functional teams on a variety of projects, varying in scale and scope. ICS Digital deliver a broad range of internal and external facing products and services. This provides a wealth of opportunity to work on new and interesting problems and consider how to adopt emerging technologies to solve them. Your role will involve working with a diverse staff, including both permanent and contract resources, under the guidance of the Lead Product Manager and Head of Digital Project Delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Draw on your experience of product techniques, including development of the product vision, backlog and roadmap.
- Define and communicate the product vision and goals to the team and stakeholders.
- Prioritise the product backlog to align with business objectives and user needs.
- Work closely with the team throughout the development process to provide feedback and guidance.
- Schedule and lead meetings to identify product issues, risks, and dependencies.
- Ensure the products comply with relevant standards, policies, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a product manager, product owner or similar role in the technology industry.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams with a combination of digital data and technology roles to achieve the best outcomes for the product.
- Knowledge of agile principles and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and present complex information clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and user feedback.
- Familiarity with building products according to the Service Manual and Service Standard.
- Comfortable developing products and services at pace and in high pressure environment.
