As Principal Enterprise Architect (Data), you’ll play a leading role in shaping how trusted company data is designed, governed and reused at national scale, supporting services accessed by millions of users every day. This is a senior technical leadership role where your decisions will directly influence:
- How data is treated as a core enterprise asset
- How legacy and modern systems work together
- How trust, interoperability and reuse are built into data by design
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set the enterprise‑level direction for data architecture and strategy
- Define and govern data models, standards and integration approaches
- Design architectures that work across legacy systems, cloud platforms and third‑party services
- Act as the authoritative voice on enterprise data, providing assurance and guidance across programmes and projects
- Enable secure, trusted and reusable data across the organisation
- Work closely with architects, delivery teams and senior stakeholders to reduce risk and improve data quality
- Influence long‑term transformation while supporting immediate delivery needs
You’ll Lead Work Across
- Enterprise and domain data modelling
- Canonical data definitions and integration patterns
- Data governance, quality, ownership and lifecycle management
- APIs, distributed services and interoperability
- Secure handling of personal and sensitive data
- Alignment with legal, regulatory and policy requirements
