About The Role
As a Senior Data Architect, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how data is structured, governed, and used across the agency. You’ll help unlock the full value of data, ensuring it is accessible, reliable, and supports better decision‑making across DVSA. Working closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll influence the way data is managed across the organisation and help build strong foundations for the future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Defining data architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices across DVSA
- Designing and developing a data catalogue to improve visibility and access to data
- Translating business needs into clear data requirements and data flows
- Supporting the development of DVSA’s data strategy and roadmap
- Driving improvements in data quality, measurement, and governance
- Collaborating with architects and technical teams to deliver joined‑up solutions
- Identifying key data assets and ensuring they are fit for purpose and usable
