You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to design, build and continuously improve services that meet the needs of users and the UK business landscape.

Please Note: Companies House cannot offer Visa sponsorship to candidates through this campaign. Security Clearance is an essential requirement for this campaign. You'll need to have been in the UK for at least 3 out of the last 5 years to be eligible to apply for SC. The successful candidate will be expected to attend their preferred office location, as selected in their application (Cardiff, Edinburgh or Belfast), on a regular basis. A hybrid working contract will be provided as the standard offering.

As a Product Manager at Companies House, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality digital services that support millions of users across the UK. Working within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, influencing decisions along the product lifecycle, championing best practice to deliver a modern and accessible service for users and our services. The role suits someone who enjoys working with others, is comfortable making decisions, and can work through uncertainty. You will need to be confident in explaining your thinking and helping others understand the direction of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision, aligning roadmaps and backlogs to strategic goals and sprint priorities
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, making risk-based decisions to unblock delivery and maintain momentum
  • Ensure delivery meets user needs, accessibility, legislation, and GDS/GOV.UK standards within a regulated environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, which include delivery managers, designers, researchers, analysts, architects, and operational subject matter experts to deliver change and drive continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as the bridge between service owners, business areas and delivery teams
  • Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly through appropriate channels (e.g. workshops, demos, and engagement sessions)
  • Use data, analytics, and user research, and insight to inform decisions, measure performance and improve outcomes
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, balancing user, business, and technical needs, and supporting live service optimisation

Technical Experience:

  • Familiarity with delivery and collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft 365)
  • Awareness of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, and how these support iterative delivery
  • Awareness of GDS standards, GOV.UK service principles, user-centred design, and accessibility standards
  • Experience of working with developers, architects, and technical leads to understand constraints, dependencies, and opportunities
  • Knowledge of using data, analytics, and user insight to monitor performance and inform decisions
  • Awareness of tools and frameworks to support prioritisation and risk-based decision making
