As a Lead Product Manager at UKRI, you’ll shape how digital products are designed and delivered, ensuring they create real value for users, teams and the wider organisation.
About The Role
This is a senior leadership role where you’ll drive the product management discipline across UKRI. You’ll balance user needs, organisational priorities and technical delivery to ensure the right services are built in the right way. Working closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll oversee a portfolio of digital and funding platform services, setting direction, improving how products are managed, and supporting teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the strategic roadmap for UKRI Funding Platforms
- Providing product leadership across digital services and product teams
- Working with designers and user-centred teams to identify problems and shape solutions
- Leading design sprints and workshops to align teams and drive outcomes
- Overseeing delivery across a portfolio of live and developing services
- Building and growing a Product Management Community of Practice
- Coaching and mentoring Product Managers and service owners
- Working with stakeholders to balance business needs, constraints and priorities
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience as a Product Management leader
- Experience running workshops and aligning stakeholders around shared outcomes
- Experience delivering digital services aligned to GDS standards
- Ability to lead, influence and coach teams
- Strong experience working with user-centred design teams
- Track record of delivering measurable outcomes and value for money
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing ability
- High levels of accountability and ownership
