About The Role

You’ll join DVSA as a Lead Portfolio Delivery Manager, acting as the head of Agile Delivery within a core value stream.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead a major delivery portfolio and shape how digital services are delivered
  • Work alongside senior leaders across Digital, Operations and Policy
  • Influence strategy and improve how teams deliver high-impact services
  • Build and grow a high‑performing, inclusive agile delivery community

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing strategic leadership for agile delivery across the agency
  • Leading and developing a high-performing delivery community
  • Working with senior leaders to ensure delivery aligns with strategic priorities
  • Measuring success through business outcomes, performance and user value
  • Managing risks, issues and dependencies across a large delivery portfolio
  • Supporting teams to resolve complex challenges and unblock delivery
  • Driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring delivery meets security, accessibility and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience leading agile delivery functions
  • Experience managing large, cross‑functional teams (both direct and virtual)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence across Digital, Operations and Policy environments
  • Experience managing portfolios, roadmaps, risks and dependencies at a strategic level
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work across multiple disciplines
