The Role:

We’re recruiting for Associate Delivery Managers here at Justice Digital, Data and Science to be part of our warm and collaborative team in Legal Aid Agency (LAA) Digital. This role aligns against Associate Delivery Manager from the Government Digital and Data Framework. LAA Digital design, build and maintain digital products used by those who need legal aid, the legal aid providers that advise and represent them and LAA caseworkers and other staff. Our vision is to create legal aid services that are easy to understand and use, built on modern, secure, affordable and adaptable technology.

You’ll be someone who wants to work towards becoming an experienced delivery manager leading a multidisciplinary team, supporting and continuously improving products of significant scale and complexity. You’ll get support to develop in this role from your people manager, delivery manager peers, the wider delivery community and from formal learning opportunities.

Working as an associate delivery manager, you’ll be responsible for building, maintaining and motivating teams, ensuring the team collaborates to focus on what is most important. You will facilitate a culture of continuous improvement in the team. You will proactively manage dependencies and risks to overcome obstacles to delivery.

Person Specification:

• Agile and Lean Practices: You have some practical experience and understanding of Agile tools, techniques and principles. You can adapt and reflect, be resilient and have the ability to see outside of the process.
• Team Dynamics & Collaboration: You understand the importance of positive team dynamics, collaborative working and empowering a delivery team. You are able to give and receive feedback to team members and understand the importance of doing so appropriately.
• Communicating Between the Technical and Non-Technical: You can communicate complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitate discussion within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintaining Delivery Momentum: You can actively track, manage, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Making a Process Work: You can help a team find the process that works best for them and guide them to focus on the outcome.
