Location: Hanslope Park Road, Hanslope, Milton Keynes, MK19 7BH

Our Technology and Operations team creates best‑in‑class digital solutions for the UK government, helping to shape a data‑driven future for public services.

As an Associate Cyber Responder, you will investigate and recover from cyber security incidents across applications, servers, storage and laptops. You will test and monitor compliance with incident‑response plans, analyse security breaches, recommend mitigations and provide technical security advice to colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with cyber‑security incident investigations and remediation (25 % of the role)
  • Conduct vulnerability testing, monitor compliance, and recommend solutions (25 %)
  • Produce clear technical documentation and advise on risk impact (20 %)
  • Participate in the team’s 24/7 on‑call service (25 %)
  • Contribute to the development of security strategies, policies and project advice, and engage in continuous professional development

Qualifications

  • Working experience in IT, resolving technical problems (lead criterion)
  • NVQ Level 3 in IT or Cyber Security, or equivalent experience
  • Strong interest in IT and IT security
  • Effective team player, able to work collaboratively
  • Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation (bonus)
  • British citizenship with sole nationality (required)
  • Developed Vetting clearance, or willing to undergo vetting process
