We are looking for platform engineers who are excited to grow their careers while delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients. You will join a collaborative, supportive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and where your contributions help shape the future of cloud services in the UK. We work in focused, agile teams called Pods—groups of technical professionals who come together to build and maintain cloud platforms. Our strength lies in our people and the inclusive culture we foster. If you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and are passionate about continuous learning, we would love to hear from you.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role: As a key member of a Cloud Pod, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to both project-based and foundational engineering work. You will collaborate with a diverse group of Cloud DevOps Engineers and be encouraged to:

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud platforms with a focus on reusability, standardisation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Work in agile, outcome-focused teams that align closely with client goals.
  • Grow your expertise through training, certifications, and hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Capgemini's cloud offerings through shared learning and innovation.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini, building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment for everyone.

Your skills and experience: We are looking for individuals with a range of experiences and backgrounds. If you meet some (not all) of the criteria below, we still encourage you to apply:

  • Experience in platform engineering using tools such as Azure or AWS, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and end-to-end service delivery.
  • A background in infrastructure and networking is helpful, as is experience working in agile teams.
  • Experience deploying enterprise cloud solutions using code-based approaches.
  • Ability to lead or contribute to technical discussions across architecture and engineering teams.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

Your security clearance: To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements. Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
