About the Team: You’ll join the Cloud Based Analytical Service (CBAS), a long‑established team that provides a secure, reliable Azure platform used by analysts across DESNZ. CBAS has been running for 10 years and delivers a trusted environment where data is protected, applications run safely, and users can work with confidence.
You’ll Work Closely With:
- Other Infrastructure Engineers
- The CBAS Product Manager
- IT suppliers and partners
What You’ll Be Doing: You’ll be a hands‑on Azure Cloud Engineer, responsible for the full lifecycle of cloud infrastructure. This includes:
- Building, securing and operating Azure IaaS and PaaS services
- Deploying infrastructure using Bicep and the Azure Portal
- Designing and managing Azure networking (VNETs, hub‑and‑spoke, VPNs, firewalls, NSGs, private endpoints)
- Managing identity across Windows AD and Azure Entra ID (AAD)
- Implementing security controls using Azure Policy, RBAC and Defender for Cloud
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitLab)
- Managing certificates, DNS, DKIM and DMARC
- Leading secure builds for Windows and Linux workloads
- Troubleshooting issues across the full stack (identity, network, platform, application)
- Producing clear documentation, runbooks and operational handovers
