Technician - Year 7 Transition Block in Manchester

Principal responsibilities

• Support the vision, ethos and strategic priorities of Manchester Communication Academy and Greater Manchester Academies Trust.
• Coordinate the preparation and use of practical resources, equipment and facilities to support teaching and learning.
• Ensure furniture, equipment, materials and other resources are available and appropriately set up when required.
• Prepare equipment and resources for lessons as requested by teaching staff.
• Prepare, photocopy and organise learning resources where required.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of displays and learning environments.
• Carry out routine checks of equipment and arrange or report repairs promptly.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe condition and ready for use.
• Undertake appropriate health and safety checks and help ensure working and learning environments remain clean, tidy and safe.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure materials and resources are stored safely.
• Maintain accurate stock and supply records.
• Support the ordering of equipment, materials and resources, taking account of quality, value for money and available budgets.
• Receive, check, organise and store equipment and supplies.
• Provide appropriate information and guidance to staff and pupils on the correct use of equipment and preparation of materials.

This role will be offered as a full time (35 hours per week). Term Time Only
