The Greater Manchester Academies Trust are seeking to appoint a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to become part of our team at Manchester Communication Academy.

Who are we?
The Greater Manchester Academies Trust is situated in Harpurhey, North Manchester. We are made up of Manchester Communication Academy and Manchester Communication Primary academy. In addition, the trust also includes the Manchester Communication Research School.

The Academy
Manchester Communication Academy is a vibrant school that is at the heart of the community and is committed to improving educational outcomes for all of our students. MCA is proud to be a community hub and our outward facing work is exceptional.
In our Ofsted inspection in 2024 we were recognised as a GOOD school and want to build on this by recruiting excellent practitioners that are driven by evidence informed practice. MCA received Research School status in September 2019 and we are proud of the work that we conduct in partnership with the EEF and how this drives our teaching practice.

To be part of a safeguarding team that delivers deep social justice for our students, families and our community. To co-construct an outstanding safeguarding provision, developing profound relationships with our families. To have a systematic approach to the safeguarding and support of the most vulnerable children and their families.

This role will be offered as a full time (37.5 hours per week), term time only working will also be considered, we welcome opportunities to discuss flexible options to
support family/ other personal commitments.
Closing date for applications is 12noon on Thursday 10th July 2025.
Shortlisting will complete on Friday 11th July 2025 and interviews will take place w/c 14th July 2025.
Start date for position will be 1st September 2025 or earlier depending on recruitment checks.
