The role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our Academy medical team. The role focuses on providing medical and rehabilitation services for Elite Development Squad (EDS) and U23 players. You will contribute to injury prevention, acute management, and evidence-based rehabilitation to optimise player health, performance, and availability.

Your Impact
- Deliver injury assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and return-to-play programmes for academy players.
- Contribute to injury prevention through screening and tailored strategies.
- Provide pitchside cover and emergency aid during training and matches (maintaining ATMMIF accreditation).
- Collaborate closely with coaching, medical, and sports science staff to ensure a holistic approach to player care.
- Build strong relationships with players, parents, and coaches to support injury management and recovery.
- Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge, incorporating the latest clinical and scientific developments into practice.
- Keep accurate and compliant medical records in line with legislation and club standards.
- Support the development of academy therapists through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
What we are looking for
- Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) membership
- HCPC registration
- Valid ATMMIF certification
- Strong knowledge of MSK injuries, prevention, and rehabilitation strategies
- Understanding of elite football demands and long-term player development
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
- Excellent communication and motivation skills with the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Previous experience in a football academy or first team environment
- MSc in a relevant field
- Substantial experience in elite sport
