The Role
The vacancy is open to coaches with a minimum FA Level 2/UEFA C and Goalkeeping qualification, who possess experience in coaching diverse player groups. Goalkeeper coaches who are confident leading sessions for outfield players are also encouraged to apply. The role involves preparing, delivering, and reviewing sessions in Manchester at the City Football Academy as part of Manchester City Football Education.
This position involves coaching player, team, and coach development programs, primarily on the pitch, with some programs delivering classroom sessions for individuals and groups from both UK and international territories.
The position provides training and development in MCFC coaching methodology and development pathways, along with potential career opportunities both in the UK and internationally within the organization.
The role may involve travel for short-term international projects on behalf of our club partners when necessary.

Your Impact
- The planning, preparation, and delivery of the MCFC coaching curriculum and methodology.
- Create a positive and professional learning environment while connecting and engaging with the players on the programs.
- To ensure the high standard of delivery while observing the quality assurance of the program. To always make sure positive player and parental feedback.
- A positive role model and ambassador for MCFC within both on and off field environments, adhering to the positive attitudes, values, and beliefs of MCFC.
- To work both independently and collectively as part of the coaching team ensuring a positive experience for all the people involved in our programs.
What we are looking for
- Minimum UEFA C / FA Level 2 coaching license.
- Goalkeeping Qualification
- Experience in coaching in education, community, or club setting.
- Higher Education and/ or management equivalent Qualification.
- Continued personal development with their local and national FA including safeguarding/ DBS check.
- The ability to communicate informally and formally with coaches, players, parents, and key business stakeholders.
- To have good experience in developing players of varying ages and abilities, including reviewing, and evaluating individuals.
