  • Qualification: HNC or equivalent
  • Casual Car Documentation: The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
  • Driving Licence: The successful candidate should hold a full clean driving licence as you will be required to drive a vehicle adhering to council regulations.

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to work in the Design & Delivery Team based at Manchester Town Hall to help deliver Manchester City Council\’s capital programme by providing a range of professional construction related services.

This role requires excellent contract administration and project management skills together with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, residents and internal and external agencies.

You should be proficient in IT packages such as MS Word and Excel and have to ability to manage, update and share information daily through various software packages.

You will be working in a multidisciplinary team and will need to have the ability to work collaboratively with all team members and demonstrate a personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of building construction, building regulations and planning applications and be qualified to HND, HNC or equivalent, or a degree in a building construction related subject with at least 2 years’ experience and it would be desirable if you are if you are pursuing corporate membership of a recognised body such as the RICS, CIOB or equivalent.
