Salary: £25,823 per annum
This is a vital role focused on promoting pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and positive engagement, working closely with students who require additional emotional, behavioural, or pastoral support. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn, by contributing to safeguarding practice and delivering targeted wellbeing interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a safeguarding-focused support for pupils, working under the direction of senior staff and the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in learning
- Deliver and support targeted interventions to meet individual pupil needs
- Build trusted, professional relationships with pupils while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Monitor and report concerns relating to safeguarding, welfare, or attendance in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, families, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews, reports, and meetings where required
- Promote inclusivity and positive behaviour in line with the school’s values
