Job Overview

The Metrics officer role is part of the performance team and will provide high quality information from interrogating various data sources to gain insights for the Performance Manager and other internal stakeholders. The production of reports is a fundamental part of the role and having the ability to use various systems is essential. Working on various projects with the Performance Manager to improve the service delivery, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a rapidly developing service.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting reablement service in the running of business‑critical systems
  • Monthly reporting of performance
  • Monitoring of performance metrics
  • Completion of monthly dashboards
  • Maintaining, cleansing and quality assurance of service data
  • Report design in third‑party systems
  • Supporting the development of service standards & processes
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Teams)
  • Supporting users with MS Office 365

Essential Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promote understanding.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to absorb, understand and quickly assimilate moderately complex information and concepts and compare information from a number of different sources. Ability to identify patterns and trends that may impact on decisions with skills to identify risks and any assumptions made.
  • IT Skills: Skills to use ICT systems to obtain and analyse data and present it effectively through a variety of ICT channels.
  • Planning and Organising Skills: Demonstrate the ability to organise multiple tasks in the most effective way, and allocate time and energy according to task complexity and priority.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making Skills: Ability to analyse situations, diagnose problems, identify the key issues, establish and evaluate alternative courses of action and produce a logical, practical and acceptable solution.
  • Creative Skills: Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to problems. Has ability to develop new approaches to finding solutions outside of existing parameters.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess adaptability, intuition, and strong analytical skills. You should thrive in situations where time‑sensitive reporting is essential. At times, you will need to introduce new processes and procedures to different teams. Effective communication is key, as you will interact with stakeholders of varying technical expertise, requiring clear and concise articulation. A process‑oriented mindset is crucial. The ability to perform under the pressure of tight deadlines is essential. Adeptly gathering correct information is a fundamental aspect of the position. Proficiency in Office 365 is a must, alongside a readiness to swiftly grasp new systems.
