Application Support Analyst in the ICT Service Operations area of the ICT Department. This role supports a wide range of software packages, prioritises tasks, and ensures excellent customer service. The position is permanent, 35 hours per week, and interviews will be conducted in person. Closing date: 11.59pm, 9 February 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver support for various software packages
- Prioritise tasks to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Oversee software upgrades and manage changes via the CAB process
- Provide out‑of‑hours cover as part of a rota
- Participate in Post‑Incident Reviews and liaise with ICT services to ensure system developments are tested appropriately
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified to ITIL Foundation
- Technical ICT skills gained from recent experience in an ICT environment
- Ability to support and learn multiple software platforms, including MRI Revenues and Benefits (Academy), CivicaPay, NEC DM and manage upgrades via the CAB process
- Strong communication skills, able to engage with staff, other IT teams, and third‑party suppliers in both technical and non‑technical terms
- Able to attend CAB meetings to explain technical questions on upgrades or changes that require outages
- Participate in Post‑Incident Reviews to explain major outages and the resolution process
- Be able to work flexibly according to the needs of the team and business areas, including working on a rota basis to provide out‑of‑hours cover
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK before commencement of employment – no eligibility for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route
- Three references with a 3‑year history if possible
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Evidence of ITIL Foundation qualification
