Overview

Manchester City Council is seeking a visionary Head of Highways Project Delivery to lead the design and delivery of a £150m portfolio of major and minor highway infrastructure projects. This role will take strategic ownership of high-impact schemes that transform how people move across the city.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a talented in-house team and manage external partners to deliver projects that meet the highest standards of quality, safety and sustainability.
  • Take strategic ownership of programme delivery, commercial contract management and stakeholder engagement across complex programmes.
  • Equip, inspire, and influence senior stakeholders across the council and external partners.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed standards.
