Teaching Qualification

Manchester Adult Education needs a team leader to lead on its 16-18 ESOL study programme, principally working with 16-18 year old unaccompanied asylum seeker children.
The role involves:
- Teaching a group of 16-18 year old learners
- Coordinating the programme
- Developing links with partners
- Scheduling and coordinating progress review meetings with social workers
- Assessing, enrolling and inducting new learners
- Line management of Band A teaching staff
- Coordinating, leading & recording attendances on afternoon activity programmes
- Identifying and following up \”at risk\” learners
- Coordinating with MAES IAG & learning support to help learners achieve
- Entering learners for and administering exams
- Helping to develop schemes of work
