The Purpose: We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, health, environmental and regulatory compliance, supporting the club’s responsibility to provide a safe and well‑governed environment both on and off the pitch. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Regulatory Services and colleagues across all departments, supporting day‑to‑day compliance activities, match‑day operations, and ongoing reporting requirements. You’ll play a key part in helping teams understand and meet their legal responsibilities, while working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external bodies. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge across a wide range of regulatory areas, including health & safety, fire safety, food safety and environmental compliance. Experience in these areas is beneficial, but a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

The Role:

  • Support the Head of Regulatory Services in ensuring full regulatory and legal compliance across all club departments, including monthly and annual reporting.
  • Implement, maintain and continuously improve the Health & Safety management system in line with current legislation.
  • Develop, review and support risk assessments, safe systems of work, COSHH documentation, DSE assessments, and vulnerable persons/expectant mothers risk assessments.
  • Conduct H&S audits, inspections and incident investigations across match day and non‑match day operations, including suppliers and all club areas.
  • Liaise with department heads to identify training needs, arrange and facilitate mandatory and specialist training, and deliver Health & Safety inductions for new starters.
  • Act as the point of contact with Local Authorities and inspection bodies on HSE matters when required.
  • Promote environmental compliance initiatives and embed a strong safety, health and environmental culture aligned with business objectives and customer service.
  • Support cross-functional regulatory activities, including food safety and fire safety inspections, working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Provide match day Regulatory Services support and undertake additional duties necessary to support an evolving safety, health and environment function.

The Person: Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Level 3 qualification in Environmental Management (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a busy operational environment providing H&S support and advice.
  • High level of computer literacy.

Desirable

  • Level 3 in Food Safety and/or Fire Safety.
