Our Board of Trustees works to ensure the highest levels of governance, and bring a mix of skills, experience and perspectives. It is this mix, rather than any one individual, which makes for strong governance, and enables the organisation to achieve its charitable purpose - making music for positive change.
To bring about the change we seek, we endeavour to create more equitable access across the full breadth and body of our work. Increasing the diversity of thought, backgrounds, ages and characteristics represented on our Board will help us do that, and to create impact in society.
Previous experience as a trustee is not essential; we are committed to providing full training and support to help you develop in this role.
In addition to their formal governance roles, and the key responsibilities for all Trustees, we’re looking for people with skills and experience in one or more of the following:
- FUNDRAISING: We are particularly interested in talking to someone who brings a network among potential philanthropic donors (possibly including corporates, foundations, and high net worth individuals), and who will actively use their networks to make introductions to build enthusiasm, which will sustain and grow our impact.
- COMMERCIAL MUSIC WORLD: We’re seeking an experienced professional from the commercial music sector who can bring constructive challenge, strategic support, and valuable industry networks.
