About the Role
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, with one weekend in every five.
Position: Landscape Gardener.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within a team to maintain the soft landscape to a high standard in a theme park environment.
- Carry out garden maintenance including mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning and hedge cutting in guest-facing areas.
- Carry out planting including seasonal bedding and lawn care to the highest standards.
- Use and maintain a large range of landscaping machinery including tractors, implements and ride-on mowers.
- Work safely at all times, complying with risk assessments and COSHH regulations to support a safety-first culture.
- Maintain ride area safety, ensuring ride area clearances are maintained and identifying and reporting tree works when required.
Key Hiring Criteria
- Applicant must have the right to work in the UK.
- Achievement of an A-level 2 NVQ in amenity horticulture (or equivalent).
- Proven 5 years of commercial gardening or horticulture experience.
- Possession of NPTC PA1 and PA6 qualification in application of pesticides.
- Any NPTC qualifications in use of chainsaw beneficial but not essential.
- Physical ability to carry out all gardening tasks and work in all weathers.
