The role supports the traffic and logistics manager to coordinate all traffic, logistics and parking operations for the NEC Campus, including resource management and daily operations. The Traffic and Logistics Planner line‑manages and develops two traffic office coordinators and works closely with OCS colleagues, traffic supervisors and reports to the Campus Traffic and Logistics Manager.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor systems used by the traffic and logistics department, including Voyage Control, Traffic Database, Speed Check Database, Genetec and Timegate.
- Identify and collate training requirements and records for the department.
- Collate financial documents supporting event traffic and carpark revenue.
- Communicate with events staff about departmental information, event details and training.
- Evaluate current processes and procedures and develop new strategies to increase effectiveness.
- Support the manager to ensure the casual workforce is managed effectively, including recruitment, coordination with scheduling and HR.
- Identify recruitment channels with the contract support team.
- Manage and develop the traffic office coordinators.

- Communicate regularly with colleagues on safety matters to encourage open discussion and maintain high morale.
- Promote a positive safety image within the organization.
- Maintain personal health and safety competence by attending Managing Safety programme and other company safety events.
- Ensure plant and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
- Ensure work activities are properly managed and supervised.

- Level 3 qualification or higher
Professional Qualifications
- IOSH
