About The Role
This is a fixed term contract, starting from Mid-March until 6th November. You will be given a minimum of 5 hours per week; however, as per your availability, we can offer part-time, full-time and/or weekend work. You will be a part of the team which plays a pivotal role in ensuring guests' safety and enjoyment for millions of guests at Thorpe Park. We promote a proactive and diverse culture delivering great customer service to all our guests whilst ensuring the safety of our guests, staff and assets at the Resort.
The day-to-day responsibilities will consist of being part of a response team patrolling the Resort, interacting with guests, checking bags and personal searches, back-of-house patrols, incident and crowd management, asset transfers and being a part of an amazing team. The role is great for aspiring police officers or those looking for a career in law enforcement. The Security team at THORPE PARK Resort also works closely with the local authorities to carry out various operations whilst keeping everyone's safety at the forefront of our business. This can be a fast-paced and active role which also means working outside on the Island like no other.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to our guests, in line with company values ensuring that our targets are being met. This requires professionalism during every aspect of the role.
- Practice conflict management successfully across the Resort, resolving issues whilst ensuring the safety of all guests, staff and protection of all of the Resort's assets.
- Carry out bag checks, personal searches, patrols and be vigilant at all times.
- Interact with guests and ensure any issues are resolved to the best of your ability.
- Patrol the Resort being vigilant for any threats to the safety of the Resort.
We are looking for:
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate in an effective and positive manner with all customers and colleagues.
- Must have an active and in-date SIA license (Door supervisor level).
- High level of motivation both self and in a team.
- Proficient in the English language.
- Team player and ability to work independently.
- Lead and uphold required standards in moments of conflict or violence and deliver good results.
- Interpersonal and relationship building skills within the team and networking with other employees at the resort.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to talk to all types of guests.
- Problem solving and decision-making techniques.
