About The Role

Are you ready to sprinkle some magic on our operations? As the Strategic Partnership Director you\’ll be the wizard behind the curtain, ensuring our guests have a spellbinding experience every time they visit. This role blends strategic insight with hands-on operational excellence. You\’ll oversee the delivery of engineering, landscaping, cleaning, security, and ancillary services, making sure everything runs smoothly. Your mission is to deliver world-class service, act as the senior point of escalation, and bring innovative solutions to life.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery Maestro: Lead the delivery of engineering, landscaping, cleaning, security, and ancillary services across 13+ sites in the UK, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Strategic Sorcerer: Provide strategic direction to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Enchanter: Be the go-to person for the Merlin Entertainments account, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Performance Wizard: Develop and implement KPIs to monitor and improve service delivery, aligned with our standards.
  • Innovation Alchemist: Drive optimization through technology and identify innovative solutions to keep operations ahead of the curve.
  • Team Leader Extraordinaire: Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Guardian: Manage the financial performance of the account, including a contract value of over £25 million per annum, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to achieve commercial goals.
  • Compliance and Safety Champion: Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Health & Safety Accountabilities

  • Communicate regularly with colleagues on safety matters to maintain high morale and a strong safety culture.
  • Model and promote safe practices through actions of the team.
  • Maintain health and safety competence and skill levels.
  • Ensure plant and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Effectively manage and supervise work activities.

Critical Performance Measures (CPMs) / Objectives

  • Ensure successful mobilisation and transition, meeting all deliverables on time and to the required standard.
  • Achieve commercial targets and sustained growth and retention.
  • Maintain high standards of service delivery and guest satisfaction.

Person Specification

Educational Level

  • Degree (BSc, BEng or MEng) level as a minimum

Experience

  • 10+ years senior management experience in Facilities Management.
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex hard services biased partnerships.
  • Previous P&L responsibility of over £25m per annum.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing contract strategies and programs.
  • Experience leading in a multi-layered organization with competing priorities.
