About The Role
We’re looking for a confident and capable Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and strong leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or finalist-level accountant who is ready to take ownership of core financial processes and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
As part of your role, your core duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and managing a small team of Assistant Management Accountants (AMAs), ensuring high-quality outputs and professional development.
- Taking full ownership of the balance sheet, including monthly reviews and reconciliations.
- Producing and reviewing month‑end results in collaboration with the wider finance team.
- Processing accruals and prepayments in line with financial principles and operational inputs.
- Conducting and challenging balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Interrogating the fixed asset register and ensuring correct capitalisation and depreciation.
- Tracking and reconciling cash transactions across the business.
- Building strong relationships across Finance and operational teams to improve data quality and reporting.
- Supporting continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and commercial awareness. You should be:
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a credible finalist with strong experience in management accounting.
- Experienced in working within medium to large organisations, ideally operating in a Corporate environment.
- A confident leader with the ability to delegate effectively, manage performance, and develop team members.
- Skilled in planning and diary management, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet critical deadlines.
- Proficient in Advanced Excel and experienced with ERP systems throughout your career.
- Comfortable challenging financial data and assumptions, with a strong understanding of what “good” looks like in areas such as balance sheet integrity, fixed assets, and payroll reconciliations.
- A clear and professional communicator, both via email and phone.
- Eligible to work in the UK (Right to Work required).
