About The Role
Location: KT9 2NE. This is a fixed term contract, based at Chessington World of Adventures starting from ASAP until Mid-November 2026. We are looking for candidates that can work full time (5 days over a 7 day period, sometimes including weekends). Shift Times are 6am until 3pm.
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the Resort ensuring it is litter free and maintained to a high standard. You will also be expected to have a natural affinity with guests assisting them with any Resort queries they may have. Reporting to the Park Presentations Manager, you will be responsible for cleaning the Resort. Following our cleaning plan you will be expected to use our mobile Jet Washer, Petrol & Electric Leaf Blowers and our EV Road Sweeper & Pedestrian Jet Washer to remove debris and spillages ensuring the Park is well presented prior to opening and throughout the day. On occasion you will also be expected to do BIO cleaning.
Day To Day Responsibilities
- Ensure all park bins are empty, and litter is removed, swept and leaf blown.
- Walkways are pressure washed and maintained to our high standards.
- Driving company vehicles including the EV Road Sweeper.
- Accurately complete the Resort Cleaner sign-off check sheet / tablet.
- Dispose of waste in a timely manner, within the correct waste disposal area.
- Be Guest Obsessed, ensuring guests have a memorable experience!
- Have a natural affinity with guests, answering any queries they have.
- Report any hazards to the duty manager in a timely manner.
- Report any maintenance issues to the duty manager and facilities team.
- Lone work, communicating with the duty manager via the radio.
- Work cohesively as a team, ensuring communication is upheld.
- Supporting the Waste & Recycling team where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK Driving License is essential.
- Enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn!
- Great attention to detail is a must.
- Can do attitude and willingness to work hard.
- Good understanding of the Resort.
- Previous cleaning experience is preferable but not required.
- This is a physically demanding role, that will require a lot of walking, heavy lifting and use of heavy machinery therefore the successful candidate must be comfortable with this.
