About The Role:


OCS is looking for an experienced Maintenance Joiner to join our mobile Technical Services team, working across a portfolio of commercial customer sites.


We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong commercial maintenance background and proven experience working with fire doors in commercial buildings.


This is a mobile role, so you will travel between customer sites carrying out planned, reactive and remedial joinery works.


Key responsibilities



  • Carry out planned, reactive and responsive joinery maintenance across commercial properties.

  • Complete repairs and remedial works to commercial fire doors, frames, ironmongery and associated components.

  • Inspect fire doors and identify defects or areas requiring remedial work.

  • Ensure all fire-door works are completed in accordance with relevant standards and compliance requirements.

  • Carry out general commercial joinery repairs including doors, frames, locks, fixtures, fittings and building fabric.

  • Work independently across multiple commercial customer sites.

  • Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets and maintenance documentation.

  • Identify additional works, defects and potential compliance issues.

  • Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and site teams.

  • Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and site requirements.


About you



  • City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification in Joinery/Carpentry.

  • Strong experience working as a Joiner/Carpenter within commercial buildings or facilities management.

  • Proven commercial maintenance experience.

  • Good knowledge and practical experience of commercial fire doors and fire-door remedial works.

  • Experience carrying out planned, reactive and responsive maintenance.

  • Confident working independently across a mobile portfolio.

  • Good customer-service and communication skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.
