About The Role

Shift Pattern: 5 from 7, including bank holidays to include on 4 week rota shift. The Maintenance Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of Alton Tower's Hotels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance duties across the site, both internally and externally.
  • Provide hands‑on support for plumbing, electrical, and decoration service.
  • Oversee the site's Building Management System (BMS), ensuring compliance with safety and energy‑saving initiatives.
  • Respond professionally to customer queries and complaints, acting as an ambassador for the company.
  • Use a tablet system to log, track, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Support the Site Manager in daily operations and the wider team in maintaining smooth on‑site operations.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or handyperson role.
  • Level 2 qualification in a relevant trade (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, or Building Maintenance).
  • You must have right to work in the UK, and live locally.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to handle a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a fast‑changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, customer‑focused attitude.
