About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring that Chessington World of Adventures maintains full statutory, regulatory, and maintenance compliance across the resort.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing planned maintenance compliance activities, coordinating contractor servicing visits, tracking remedial actions, and maintaining accurate compliance records through our CAFM system.
This role is critical in ensuring that all facilities, attractions, infrastructure, and back-of-house areas operate safely, efficiently, and in line with legislative requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Maintenance Manager in delivering the site's compliance strategy and maintenance programme.
- Coordinate and schedule statutory inspections, testing, and servicing activities with external contractors.
- Manage contractor attendance, documentation, permits, and service records.
- Prepare and issue work packages for both internal teams and external service providers.
- Monitor maintenance compliance performance and ensure all scheduled tasks are completed within required timescales.
- Log, track, and manage remedial works arising from inspections, audits, and servicing activities.
- Ensure remedial actions are prioritised, completed, and evidenced appropriately.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation within the CAFM system.
- Generate compliance reports and KPI data for management review.
- Support internal and external audits relating to statutory compliance and maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance schedules align with SFG20 recommendations and industry best practice.
- Review certification and service documentation to verify compliance requirements have been met.
- Work closely with operational departments to minimise disruption while ensuring compliance activities are completed.
- Identify areas for process improvement and support the implementation of best-practice maintenance management procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a Compliance, Facilities, Maintenance Coordinator, or Compliance Manager role.
- Strong understanding of statutory maintenance and building compliance requirements.
- Demonstrable experience using Evolution CAFM or other Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
- Experience working with SFG20 planned preventative maintenance standards.
- Experience coordinating external contractors and specialist service providers.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and compliance deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working within leisure, theme park, hospitality, facilities management, or large-scale operational environments.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance frameworks.
- Understanding of statutory inspections relating to fire safety, water hygiene, electrical systems, lifts, HVAC, and mechanical services.
- IOSH, NEBOSH, or relevant compliance qualification.
