About The Role: Information on the role: Working Saturday 3 hours & 30 minutes @ £13.77 per hour, Working Sunday 3 hours & 30 minutes @ £14.77 per hour, Total hours worked per week is 7 hours, Start times to be discussed at interview, Public holidays @ £19.00 per hour. To provide a High Standard of cleaning within the Essex Police Buildings this would include the cleaning of Office Areas, Toilets/Showers, Kitchen Areas and General Cleaning of Cells.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the cleaning specification and work schedules including Custody but not Foul Cells.
- Complete ADHOC jobs as requested by your line manager.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
- Due to the nature of the work confidentiality is always required.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed.
- Follow the safe use of chemicals guidance (COSHH).
- To ensure the handover of any outstanding work.
Qualifications & Experience:
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work under own initiative and also as a member of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
- Excellent time management.
- Attention to detail and proactive.
Experience:
- Experience in working within a team as well as on your own – essential.
- Knowledge of COSHH.
- Previous experience within similar role.
Any other requirements:
- Flexible approach to working hours, including working weekends & Bank Holidays.
- Willingness to take any further appropriate training.
