About The Role
The working day is 06:00 - 14:00 with flexibility based on the clients' needs, this role will mainly be Monday to Friday with some weekends for overtime. This role will include access to a company van. If you have previous window cleaning experience this is preferred, ideally 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
Specialist Window Cleaning (SWC), part of the OCS Group, are currently recruiting for a Window Cleaner to join our passionate and driven team covering retail sites around Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
- To carry out window cleaning works scheduled by the supervisor or line manager in a timely, safe manner for commercial buildings mainly retail sites.
- This role will include travel to around 30 minutes driving time either way, and travel time will be included in your working day.
- Be aware of the condition of the equipment to ensure that all equipment is in safe working order, checked regularly and serviced.
- Report any faults to supervisor/management.
- Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
- Follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards e.g., blocked/locked fire doors.
- Report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if possible.
- Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage or other irregularities to the Line Manager/supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must have right to work in the UK.
- You must hold a full UK Driving License.
- You will have experience in window cleaning and ideally in working at heights and high buildings.
- You must have the ability to work well on your own, be self-sufficient and motivated whilst also being comfortable working as part of a team and following instruction.
- A professional attitude.
