About The Role

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a Social Value Bid & Content Writer to support both how we develop and how we talk about our social value offer. This is an entry level role, ideal for someone who’s interested in building a career in bid writing, sales, or business development, with a genuine interest in social impact. You’ll support the bid team by helping to shape social value responses, this could include pulling together local needs analysis, speaking with charities and community partners to understand where we can add value, and helping to turn that into practical, deliverable ideas within bids. You’ll get exposure to how bids come together day‑to‑day, working closely with the wider sales and bid team to develop ideas, build solutions, and clearly communicate our social value offer. It’s a great opportunity to get hands‑on experience in a bid and solutions environment, while building your understanding of social value in practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the bid team by drafting and editing social value content for tenders and proposals
  • Help pull together local needs analysis to inform bid responses and shape relevant, place‑based solutions
  • Carry out basic research into communities, clients, and priorities to support stronger, more targeted bids
  • Reach out to charities, community groups, and partners to understand how we can work together and build this into our proposals
  • Contribute to developing practical, deliverable social value ideas that can be included in bids
  • Build and maintain a library of approved social value content, evidence, and examples that can be used across future bids
  • Keep content up to date so the bid team has easy access to strong, consistent material
  • Support the wider team in turning contract activity and data into clear, usable content for bids
  • Help ensure a consistent approach to how we describe and position our social value offer across different opportunities

What You’ll Need

  • A proactive approach, someone who takes initiative
  • An interest in sales / bidding with some exposure through studies, internships, or a junior role
  • Well organised and able to manage different priorities
  • A collaborative mindset, comfortable working with different teams and building relationships across the business
  • An interest in innovation and thinking a bit differently, especially when shaping ideas for bids
  • Familiarity with social media or content tools is helpful, but not essential
