About The Role
Key Compliance Criteria
To carry out high-pressure steam cleaning of building facades, roofs, signage, and elevated surfaces using Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), ensuring all high-access areas are kept clean, safe, and presentable in line with the shopping centre standards.
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday 06:30 – 15:00, weekends if required
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure steam cleaning equipment to remove dirt, algae, stains, and grime from building exteriors and roof surfaces.
- Safely operate cherry pickers and other MEWPs to access elevated and hard-to-reach areas.
- Conduct regular cleaning of high-level glass, signage, ledges, canopies, and other external surfaces.
- Perform safety checks on equipment prior to use and report any defects immediately.
- Set up safe working zones with barriers and warning signage to protect the public and other staff.
- Monitor water usage and chemical application in line with environmental and safety standards.
- Work to a planned schedule and complete cleaning tasks efficiently with minimal disruption to public areas.
- Assist with ground-level jet washing and deep cleans as needed.
- Maintain daily logs of completed works, inspections, and incidents.
- Adhereto all site health and safety procedures, including working at height regulations and PPE compliance.
- Experience in pressure or steam cleaning (commercial or industrial).
- Comfortable and competent working at height.
- Valid IPAF certification preferred, but not essential, as the course can be provided.
- Good awareness of COSHH and working safely with water/steam systems.
- Strong understanding of public safety in high-footfall environments.

- Must have right to work in the UK.
- You must hold a full UK Driving License.
- IPAF License (preferred).
- You must have the ability to work well on your own, be self-sufficient and motivated whilst also being comfortable working as part of a team and following instruction.
