Role Details
- Days of Working: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and evenings for events
Responsibilities
- Horticultural Maintenance
- Grass cutting using pedestrian & ride on mowers
- Pruning / hedge cutting / weed control
- Site presentation, litter collection, leaf blowing
- Business support set up for seasonal events and activities
- Mowing using ride-on, and pedestrian professional mowing equipment
- General hedge cutting and strimming of all grounds areas
- Watering
- Weedkiller application using knapsack sprayer (if PA1/PA6 is held)
- Seasonal and formative pruning of shrubs
- Leaf blowing and collection
- Wood treatment on external furniture and fixtures
- Support of main litter team including weekend cover
- Rock salting of all path areas during winter season
- Snow clearance as required
- Have a high standard of finish, keep motivated and positive when working alone or as part of a team, adding to general spirit of department
- Focus on high quality of presentation for the benefit of excellent guest experience
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Must hold Valid UK Driving Licence
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in amenity horticulture industry, particularly commercial grass cutting & hedge cutting machinery operations
- The following qualifications would be advantageous but not essential: PA 1& PA6
Venue note
Please note: This role will involve working mainly outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year and may involve working at heights.
