About The Role:
We are looking for a Mobile Plumbing & Heating Engineer to support the delivery of facilities maintenance contracts across Scotland’s Central Belt.
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, with a focus on plumbing, heating and mechanical systems across a variety of sites, including healthcare and education settings.
Working hours
- Monday to Friday, 8am–4.30pm.
- Participation in an on-call rota, currently one week in twelve.
- Overtime when required.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose and repair plumbing, heating and mechanical faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond promptly to breakdowns.
- Complete reactive work orders and PPMs within agreed budgets, quality standards and contractual timescales.
- Ensure work meets the required specifications, SLAs and KPIs.
- Provide quotations for recommended repairs and additional works.
- Follow safe systems of work and complete relevant safety documentation before starting tasks.
- Maintain tidy, safe working areas and leave sites in good order.
- Maintain accurate job records using company systems.
- Provide an out-of-hours callout response in line with the rota.
Essential skills and qualifications
- Right to work in the UK.
- A current, valid driving licence.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing.
- Relevant Gas Safe qualifications for the work undertaken.
- CSCS Skills Card or equivalent.
- Knowledge of safe working practices and safety documentation.
- Ability to participate in the on-call rota.
- Understanding of first aid.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft applications and Excel.
Commercial gas qualifications are preferred.
