Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, occasional weekends. Please note: This role is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2026. OCS are excited to be recruiting for a Landscape Gardener to join our team!
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- To work within a team to maintain the soft landscape to a high standard in a theme park environment.
- Carry out garden maintenance including mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning and hedge cutting in guest facing areas.
- To carry out planting including seasonal bedding and lawn care to the highest standards.
- To work with and maintain a large range of landscaping machinery including tractors and implements as well as ride on mowers.
- Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with work based risk assessments and COSHH regulations that supports a safety-first culture within the team.
- Maintaining ride area safety, ensuring ride area clearances are maintained and identifying and reporting tree works when required.
Key hiring criteria:
- Applicant must have the right to work in the UK.
- A level 2 NVQ in amenity horticulture (or equivalent).
- Proven 5 years of commercial gardening or horticulture experience.
- NPTC PA1 and PA6 qualification in application of pesticides.
- Any NPTC qualifications in use of chainsaw beneficial but not essential.
- This is a hands-on physical role and be able to carry out all gardening tasks as well as work in all weathers.
