About The Role
Shift Pattern: 7 on 3 off, 7 on 4 off, ranging from both days and night shifts. We are seeking a proactive and professional Duty Shift Supervisor to lead and support our on‐site security team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, maintaining high standards of safety and service, and developing team performance.
- Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Conduct initial on‐site training and ongoing development for Security Officers, provide regular coaching, welfare checks and performance monitoring, ensure all team members are engaged, motivated and maintain high professional standards, manage employee relations including coaching, counselling and investigations in line with company policy, encourage staff recognition and promote award nominations, support retention of high‐quality team members.
- Operational Management: Organise daily rotas, including break and lunch cover; ensure all incidents are reported in line with company procedures; monitor and control access and egress outside normal operating hours; oversee radio and telephone communications, ensuring prompt and appropriate responses; manage key control systems and found property registers; ensure security procedures are followed, particularly during special assignments.
- Systems & Reporting: Maintain accurate computer‐based records, logs and reports for submission to the Contract Manager; update internal systems with new starters and leavers; compile and distribute monthly reports, including car parking data and environmental inspections; support the issue and tracking of identity cards and photographic records.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to all company, client and statutory policies; respond professionally to customer feedback or complaints; monitor faults in security equipment and ensure timely resolution; support training strategies, including emergency procedures and routine duties; participate in mandatory training (Data Protection, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Manual Handling).
