We are currently recruiting for an Area Manager overseeing a prestigious railway contract within OCS.
This role demands a combination of efficient management and a safety-centric approach within a fast-paced environment. Your responsibility will encompass maintaining high standards while navigating tight deadlines.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Task Allocation and Standards Maintenance:
- Efficiently delegate tasks to cleaning teams, ensuring adherence to specifications and reporting directly to the Fleet Presentation Manager.
- Monitor completed work, rectify subpar standards, and maintain accurate documentation.
Standardisation and Efficiency:
- Regularly review cleaning tasks and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the region.
- Verify equipment safety and functionality while overseeing correct material usage.
Operational Management:
- Manage team workloads, ensuring fair distribution and budget adherence for worked hours.
- Provide on-the-job training to ensure correct methods and practices.
- Ensure site rotas are in place, deploying resources effectively to address daily challenges.
- Regularly review specifications with the client and senior management.
Effective Communication and Feedback:
- Liaise with teams to address feedback promptly, ensuring immediate resolution and long-term improvements.
- Monitor completion of KPIs, timesheets, and necessary forms within set timelines.
Recruitment and Training:
- Oversee recruitment for supervisory and entry-level positions, identifying and fulfilling training needs.
- Manage stock and equipment orders effectively.
Contractual Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and training sessions, being available on a rotational on-call basis.
- Lead the day-to-day operational management within the regional contract.
Client Interaction and Reporting:
- Interface with clients, service providers, and stakeholders, conducting contractual reviews and evaluations for the regional area.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- You must have Right to Work in the UK
- This is a multi-sited role so travel will be required. Travel costs will be covered by the business.
- Strong organisational and management capabilities within a safety-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage under pressure, meeting stringent deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
