About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead facilities-management services across our prestigious Royal Parks contract in Central London.

You will oversee operational performance, compliance, customer relationships and team delivery across some of London’s most iconic public spaces and buildings. Working with site-based and mobile teams, contractors and key stakeholders, you will ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

The current working pattern is four days in the office and one day working from home. The role may move to a 24/7 shift pattern to support the operational rota, so flexibility is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of hard and soft FM services across the Royal Parks contract.
  • Manage site-based and mobile teams, maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Ensure services are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with contractual requirements.
  • Monitor SLAs, KPIs, statutory compliance and operational risk.
  • Build strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
  • Carry out technical inspections and building walkarounds.
  • Identify defects, risks, remedial works and service improvements.
  • Manage incidents, service failures and escalations through to resolution.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and specialist service providers.
  • Oversee project works while minimising disruption to park operations and visitors.
  • Produce reports and present performance updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Support the operational rota when required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Senior management experience within facilities management.
  • Experience managing hard and soft FM services and project works.
  • Experience leading site-based or mobile operational teams.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, health and safety and risk management.
  • Experience managing contractual SLAs and KPIs.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and report-writing abilities.
  • Good IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • A valid CSCS card and relevant qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH or SMSTS.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to support a potential 24/7 shift pattern.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Security Requirements

Applicants must be able to complete full Disclosure and Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. CTC and NPPV Level 2 clearance are also required.
