You will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across a group of courts within a defined radius of your home base. Shifts vary depending on operational needs, and you may be asked to support nearby courts for sickness and holiday cover. This is a daytime role with no night shifts. Mobile Officer will be required to travel to all sites covered in the East Midlands area using their own private transport; use of public transport is not a viable option for this role.
Overtime & Enhancements
- Overtime often available on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays
- Enhanced overtime rates: 1.5× on Saturdays, 2× on Sundays, 1.5× for weekday hours outside standard court times
- All travel and parking expenses are reimbursed, processed three times per month

Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming, professional service to all court users
- Operate CCTV, x‑ray machines, handheld metal detectors and conduct bag searches
- Control access and monitor activity throughout the building
- Patrol public and restricted areas and maintain contact with the control room
- Respond promptly to panic alarms and security incidents
- Accurately document and report any security‑related events
Ideal Candidate
- Must have Right to Work in the UK.
- Ability to pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance.
- SIA Licence and relevant security experience.
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
- High professional standards, attention to detail and reliability.
- A UK driving licence is required, and use of own vehicle.
