About The Role
As a Train Cleaner you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards of trains, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and staff.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train.
- Inspect and report any damages, graffiti or vandalism to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand to perform daily tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
- Follow procedures for handling and disposing of cleaning chemicals and materials.
The Ideal Candidate
- Must have Right to Work in the UK.
- Previous experience in cleaning would be advantageous.
- You will have strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.
Additional Information
- You will need to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test prior to starting in this role.
- You will also be required to complete a Depot Track Safety (DTS) training course.
- Free travel to and from work will be provided on SWR trains.
