About The Role
Days of Working: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Operating power tools and equipment to undertake cutting and maintenance work in accordance with specific contract requirements.
- Ensuring that work specifications and method statements are fully compiled and complied with
- Ensuring completion of site and employment documentation and risk assessments
- Ensuring operational procedures, safe working methods and best environmental practices are followed.
- Maintaining plant and work equipment, including Company vehicles, in good condition in accordance with Company procedures
- When undertaking site supervision duties, organising sites to ensure work is carried out to the required standard with minimum risk to employees,sub contractorsand others on site, productively and in accordance with operational procedures.
- Liaising with management where necessary regarding work method statements and specifications
- Always remaining polite and courteous.
- Maintaining competencies and personal development relevant to your role and your teams under the supervision of your direct Line Manager.Please refer to the training profile specific to your contract for the competencies required for the roles.
- Completing works in line with work program and cutting cycle to required standard and right first time.
- Completing works in line with contract specifications.
- Making sure working times are adhered to.
- Implementing close out actions from internal or external audits.
- Ensuring operations are delivered within agreed budget and planned time scale and that progress on contract delivery is reported.
Key Hiring Criteria
- You’ll need to hold CS 30, 31, Chipper, 1st Aid and ideally will hold CS 32, 38, 39, 40, 41, 45, UA 1, 2.1, 5, PA1, PA6AW, B+E,
- Risk Assessment Training, and Environmental Risk Assessment Training
- As the lead member of a dedicated maintenance team, you will undertake vegetation management and other operations on our National Grid Vegetation Management Contract.Working as part of a team you will carry out your role to the highest standards always ensuring your own safety and that of your colleagues.
