We’re looking for a Private Client Lawyer to join our growing team.
You’ll manage a varied caseload including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, LPAs, succession planning, Court of Protection matters (where applicable) and Inheritance Tax planning.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of your own files, work closely with experienced colleagues and Directors, and play an active role in mentoring junior team members within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Based at one of our offices in Orpington, Sevenoaks, Gravesend or Biggin Hill, with opportunities to collaborate across all four locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied Private Client caseload, including wills, probate, trusts, LPAs, estate administration, succession planning, Court of Protection matters and Inheritance Tax planning.
- Handle files with appropriate autonomy while maintaining excellent client care.
- Supervise and mentor junior colleagues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
- Use the firm’s Case Management System (CMS) to manage matters efficiently.
- Ensure timely billing and support effective cash collection.
- Contribute to marketing, business development and the continued growth of the department.
- Keep up to date with legal developments through ongoing training.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Legal Executive with at least 1 year’s PQE.
- Experience managing a full Private Client caseload, including wills, probate, trusts, LPAs, deputyships and Inheritance Tax matters.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident using IT systems and case management software.
Desirable Experience
- STEP membership (or working towards it).
- Experience dealing with complex estates, trusts and tax-efficient estate planning.
- Court of Protection experience.
- Experience working within a Lexcel-accredited (or similar) firm.
